Im trying to dye my hair jet black that it almost looks blue but it will not work! It changes colors or it fades out, like it will go back to my natural color! its making me mad. I cant afford to go to the hair salon! what do i do!

Make sure you're not using a temp color. And is the color appropriate for your hair type. Make sure you're leaving the color on long enough.

Even permanent color will fade after a day or two. Condition really good. Use a thick cream conditioner with each shampoo after you color. Also, after you color, if you can, wait a couple of days before you shampoo again.

Some times you have to bleach it to get it to keep the color. But you should not do this yourself because your hair is already dyed it will just break off. the color will fade no matter what color you try........

What color is your hair? Try Garnier dye products or L'Oreal has hair dyes, if I remember correctly. If you don't want it to fade, don't use the ones that say "temporary" or anything of that sort. "Permanant" is what you want. Not only that (I should write fewer essays...), but you have to get the kind where you have to mix two or more solutions (elements, liquids, etc.) to make the initial dye. Get it?

i dye my hair black too but after mine only goes back after like 2 months. i heard moisturized hair holds color longer so make sure your hair isnt dry and dont over shampoo
