Dye my hair dark blue fading to almost white?

i need help on this. i didnt want to go to a sallon because it is highly expensive. but i need tips on how to dye my hair starting at the roots is dark blue and it fades to white when it gets to the end. i will bleach my hair but im unsure what technique to use to do the blue right. please help!

but maybe if you do tho top and leave it in for the full time necessary then wash it out and do the next section of hair with the blue dye but for a shorter amoun of time
